PV GreenCard Assessment Details

Standard Duration for SAPVIA PV GreenCard Assessment: 1 day Theory Exam + 1 day Practical Exam

The PV GreenCard Assessment spans a duration of two days and comprises two segments: the Theoretical Assessment and the Practical Assessment. In both of these segments, candidates are evaluated on their ability to correctly install PV systems, with a minimum passing score requirement of 80%

What to expect:

Theoretical Assessment (3 hour written exam):

• Electrical and Solar PV Fundamentals
• Solar PV System Design and Installation
• Site Inspection and Testing
• SANS 10142

Practical Assessment:

• Material List
• AC and DC circuits
• Quality installation
• Workplace safety and PPE
• Wiring of distribution board
• Appropriate use of tools and materials

SAPVIA will issue an electronic certificate after evaluating the test results.
